We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Ordains the Sacrificial System<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a0Leviticus 1-7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What types of offerings did the Israelites give to God? <em>Burnt, grain, peace, and sin offerings<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why did the Israelites offer sacrifices? <em>By offering sacrifices, God\u2019s people acknowledged their sin and displayed a desire for fellowship with God.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>How was the worshiper forgiven? <em>Out of mercy, God allowed an animal to die instead of the sinner.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Who was the perfect sacrifice?<em> Jesus Christ<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0<\/strong>Fellowship with God requires sacrifice. Therefore, we should repent and draw near to Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trust Jesus who took your punishment.<\/li>\n<li>Obey God and His Word<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sing: <\/strong>\u201cTrust &amp; Obey\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Read\u00a0Numbers 13-14<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Dec 6-Dec 27:<\/strong> \u201cI have been\u00a0crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but\u00a0Christ lives in me; and\u00a0the\u00a0life\u00a0which I now live in the flesh <strong>I live by faith in\u00a0the Son of God, who\u00a0loved me and\u00a0gave Himself up for me.\u201d Galatians 2:20<\/strong>*<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 27.
