We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Sends Plagues and Ordains the Passover<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> Exodus 7-13<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did God redeem His people from bondage in Egypt? <em>He sent 10 plagues.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why were the plagues necessary? <em>Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go. God wanted to show His power to the Israelites, Egyptians &amp; world.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What is Passover? <em>A feast celebrating God\u2019s mercy when the angel of the Lord \u201cpassed over\u201d the Israelites\u2019 homes while bringing judgment on the Egyptians.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What is mercy? <em>God withholds the punishment that one deserves<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:<\/strong>\u00a0 God redeems His people from bondage.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, we should surrender our lives to Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Praise God for His redeeming people from bondage.<\/li>\n<li>Trust God by quickly obeying and repenting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sing: <\/strong>\u201cGo Down Moses\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong>\u00a0 Read Exodus 14-15<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Nov 8-Nov 29:<\/strong> \u201cEvery\u00a0person is to be in\u00a0subjection to the governing authorities.
