We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Floods the Earth and Preserves Noah<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong><strong>:\u00a0 <\/strong>Genesis 6:5\u20139:17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>God shows grace to those who repent. Therefore, we should turn from sin and follow Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why did God flood the earth? <em>Man\u2019s sin became \u201cgreat on the earth.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<li>How did Noah respond to God\u2019s grace? <em>He obeyed God by constructing the ark.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice<\/strong><strong>:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Repent and embrace Jesus as Lord.<\/li>\n<li>Obey and trust God as Noah did.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Praise<\/strong><strong>:\u00a0 <\/strong>\u201cRise and Shine\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Genesis 11:1-9<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize Sep 13-Oct 4<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> \u201cSo<strong> we make it our goal to please Him, <\/strong>whether we are at home in the body or away from it.\u201d<strong> 2 Corinthians 5:9 <\/strong>(NIV)*<\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, September 27.
