We would encourage you to use<\/p>\n<p>the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Prepares Israel for Deliverance<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a0Exodus 1-4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is the story line of Exodus? <em>God redeems the Hebrew people and makes them His own special nation<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Was Pharaoh able to spoil God\u2019s plan for His people? <em>No<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Who did God prepare to deliver His people? <em>Moses<\/em><\/li>\n<li>How did God appear to Moses? <em>In the burning bush<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why did Moses remove his sandals? <em>He was in God\u2019s holy presence.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What is holiness? <em>To be set apart from sin<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Could Moses change God\u2019s plan to use him? <em>No<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>God always accomplishes His will. Therefore, we should cooperate with his plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Praise God for His holiness and care of His people.<\/li>\n<li>Trust God\u2019s plan and seek His help when life gets hard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cGo Down Moses\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Read\u00a0Exodus 7-13<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Sep 22 \u2013 Oct 20:<\/strong> <strong>\u201cFor the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword<\/strong>, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.\u201d <strong>Hebrews 4:12*<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, October 20.
