We would encourage you to use<\/p>\n<p>the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Genesis Review<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Genesis 1-50<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What existed \u201cin the beginning\u201d? <em>Only God<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Who created everything that exists? <em>God<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What do the stories of Adam &amp; Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph teach us about our relationship with God? <em>A relationship with God requires trust and submission to His plan.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Who always takes care of His people? <em>God<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> God created us to know Him. Therefore,<\/p>\n<p>we should trust and obey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Praise God for His work in creation &amp; faithfulness to His people.<\/li>\n<li>Trust in God\u2019s control by obeying His Word<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Read\u00a0Exodus 1-4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> \u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for Sep 22 \u2013 Oct 20:<\/strong> <strong>\u201cFor the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword<\/strong>, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.\u201d <strong>Hebrews 4:12*<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, October 13.
