We would encourage you to use<\/p>\n<p>the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Life of Solomon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong>\u00a01 Kings 2:1-4; 3:1-15; 8:1-9:9; 11<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask your child:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What did Solomon request from God? <em>Wisdom<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why was God pleased with Solomon\u2019s request? <em>Wisdom would help Solomon honor God and lead Israel to do the same.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What did Solomon build for God? <em>The temple.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What did God expect from Israel\u2019s kings? <em>Complete devotion to the Lord.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Why did God punish Solomon? <em>Solomon married many pagan wives and led Israel into idolatry.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Emphasize this principle:\u00a0<\/strong>God wants our full devotion. Therefore, we should pursue him faithfully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ask God for wisdom to faithfully obey Him.<\/li>\n<li>Pray for deliverance from tempation.<\/li>\n<li>Spend regular time reading God\u2019s Word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Praise:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u201cMore Precious Than Silver\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare for next week:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>1 Kings 11:35\u201338; 12:1\u201333; 14:1\u201318<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memorize for\u00a0Feb 10-Mar 3:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>\u201cYour word I have treasured in my heart<\/strong>, that I may not sin against You.\u201d <strong>Psalm 119:11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON: FEBRUARY 10 The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, February 10.
