We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God\u2019s Gracious Promise to David<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>2 Samuel 7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>We can rejoice and trust in God\u2019s gracious promises.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cGod Is So Good\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What promise did God make to David and his family?<\/li>\n<li>How did Jesus fulfill the promise that God made to David?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By trusting that God keeps His promises.<\/li>\n<li>By thanking God for His grace toward unworthy sinners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of 2 Samuel 7.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>2 Samuel 11\u201312<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse: <\/strong>\u201cHe will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and <strong>the LORD God will give Him the throne of His father David.\u201d Luke 1:32<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, July 22.
