We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Defends God\u2019s Honor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>1 Samuel 17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Believers must live for the Lord\u2019s glory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cThe Battle Belongs to the Lord\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What happened between the Philistines and Israel?<\/li>\n<li>How did David defend God\u2019s honor?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By glorifying God with his actions and thoughts.<\/li>\n<li>By doing what pleases God, regardless of the consequences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of 1 Samuel 17.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Samuel 18:1\u201311; 20:1\u201342<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse: <\/strong><strong>The Lord is for me; I will not fear; what can man do to me?
