We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saul Disobeys God<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>1 Samuel 13:1\u201314; 15:1\u201334<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>God\u2019s Word is authoritative and must be obeyed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cCreate in Me a Clean Heart\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why did Saul\u2019s actions displease the Lord?<\/li>\n<li>How did Saul try to justify his actions?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By submitting to the authority of God\u2019s Word and obeying it completely.<\/li>\n<li>By repenting from being stubborn, which is a serious offense to God.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of 1 Samuel 13:1\u201314; 15:1\u201334.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Samuel 16<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> \u201cHas the Lord as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
