We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God Reveals Achan\u2019s Sin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Joshua 7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Believers must turn from sin because of God\u2019s holiness and sin\u2019s terrible consequences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why did Israel lose the battle of Ai?<\/li>\n<li>How was God\u2019s holiness revealed in this lesson?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By being aware of areas where he is tempted.<\/li>\n<li>By trusting that God\u2019s goodness is better than the satisfaction that sin promises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Joshua 7.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Joshua 23\u201324<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse: He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper<\/strong>, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion. <strong>Proverbs 28:13*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 15.
