We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Israel Rejects God\u2019s Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Numbers 13\u201314<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>God\u2019s plans always are best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cGreat Is Thy Faithfulness\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why did Moses send spies into Canaan?<\/li>\n<li>How many spies did he send?<\/li>\n<li>What kind of report did the spies bring back?<\/li>\n<li>Which spies trusted the Lord?<\/li>\n<li>How did God punish the Israelites?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By thanking God for His promises.<\/li>\n<li>By obeying God\u2019s instructions.<\/li>\n<li>By trusting that God\u2019s plan is best.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read Numbers 13\u201314.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Numbers 16<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verses:<\/strong> \u201cSome boast in chariots and some in horses, but <strong>we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God.\u201d<\/strong><strong> Psalm 20:7*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, January 7.
