We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God Sends John the Baptist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Luke 1:5\u201325, 57\u201367, 76\u201380<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Believers should be ready for God to fulfill His promises.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cSilent Night\u201d (third stanza)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Who were the parents of John the Baptist?<\/li>\n<li>Why was John\u2019s birth so special?<\/li>\n<li>What did Zacharias say about John in Luke 1:76\u201380?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By worshiping God as Zacharias did.<\/li>\n<li>By being ready for God to fulfill His promises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Matthew 2:1\u201318<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> \u201cFor nothing will be impossible with God.\u201d Luke 1:37<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 17.
