We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God Ordains the Day of Atonement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Leviticus 11\u201316<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Man constantly needs to confess sin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cCreate in Me a Clean Heart\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Who is holy and without sin?<\/li>\n<li>What was the purpose of the Day of Atonement?<\/li>\n<li>Why were animals sacrificed?<\/li>\n<li>What cleanses a Christian from sin?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By confessing every sin to God.<\/li>\n<li>By praising God for eternal forgiveness through Jesus\u2019 death on the cross.<\/li>\n<li>By trusting Jesus for eternal forgiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read Leviticus 11\u201316.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Leviticus 19<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verses:<\/strong> \u201cFor we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but <strong>[Jesus was] tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.<\/strong><strong> Hebrews 4:15*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, November 12.
