We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God Punishes Israel\u2019s Idolatry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Exodus 32<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>God is merciful and patient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cSeek Ye First\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What did Aaron make for the Israelites to worship?<\/li>\n<li>How was God going to punish Israel\u2019s sin?<\/li>\n<li>Who prayed for the Israelites?<\/li>\n<li>How did God show mercy to the Israelites?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By asking God for forgiveness of daily sins.<\/li>\n<li>By thanking God for His specific acts of mercy.<\/li>\n<li>By praising God for the mercy found in Jesus Christ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read Exodus 32.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Exodus 33\u201334, 40<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verses:<\/strong> <strong>\u201cYou shall not covet<\/strong>\u2026anything that belongs to your neighbor\u201d <strong>Exodus 20:17*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, October 15.
