We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God Judges Sodom and Gomorrah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Genesis 18:16\u201319:29<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>God hates and judges sin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cTrust and Obey\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why was God going to punish the people of Sodom and Gomorrah?<\/li>\n<li>Why did Abraham ask God to save the good people in Sodom?<\/li>\n<li>Who warned Lot to leave the city?<\/li>\n<li>How did God punish Sodom and Gomorrah?<\/li>\n<li>Whom did God save from judgment?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By obeying God\u2019s Word and listening to His warnings.<\/li>\n<li>By turning from sin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read Genesis 18:16\u201319:29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Genesis 21:1\u201314<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verses:<\/strong> \u201c<strong>There is only one Lawgiver and Judge<\/strong>, the One who is able to save and to destroy\u201d <strong>James 4:12a*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, June 25.
