We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abraham and Sarah Doubt God<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Genesis 16:1\u20136; 17:15\u201321; 18:1\u201315<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Nothing can stop God\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cFather Abraham\u201d*<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What did God promise Abraham and Sarah?<\/li>\n<li>How old were Abraham and Sarah?<\/li>\n<li>Did they believe God\u2019s promise?<\/li>\n<li>Did God fulfill His promise through Sarah or through Hagar?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By trusting God\u2019s promises, even if they seem impossible.<\/li>\n<li>By being patient for God to fulfill His promises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read Genesis 16:1\u20136; 17:15\u201321; 18:1\u201315.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Genesis 18:16\u201319:29<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verses:<\/strong> \u201cAnd I will make you a great nation, and <strong>I will bless you<\/strong>, and make your name great; and <strong>so you shall be a blessing<\/strong>; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. <strong>And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.\u201d<\/strong><strong> Genesis 12:2-3*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, June 18.
