We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jesus Confronts the Pharisees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 21:33\u201346<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle:\u00a0 <\/strong>There is a terrible consequence for rejecting Christ.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise:\u00a0 <\/strong>\u201cRock of My Salvation\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did the Jewish leaders respond to Christ?<\/li>\n<li>What did Jesus teach the Pharisees in the parable of the landowner?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0 <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By submitting to Jesus Christ as Lord.<\/li>\n<li>By warning those who reject Christ of the coming judgment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Matthew 21:33\u201346.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 25:14\u201330<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>\u201cHe who\u00a0believes in the Son has eternal life<\/strong>; but he who\u00a0does not\u00a0obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.\u201d\u00a0 <strong>John 3:36*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, August 21.
