We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jesus<\/strong><strong>\u2019 <\/strong><strong>Triumphal Entry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 21:1\u201311<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle:\u00a0 <\/strong>Jesus is worthy of praise and obedience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise:\u00a0 <\/strong>\u201cMajesty\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why did Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a colt?<\/li>\n<li>What were the crowds shouting as Jesus entered Jerusalem?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0 <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By rejoicing that Jesus is the Son of David.<\/li>\n<li>By obeying Jesus as King in every area of life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Matthew 21:1\u201311.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 21:33\u201346<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God. \u00a0John 1:12*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, August 14.
