We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jesus Walks on the Water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passage:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 14:22\u201334<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle:\u00a0 <\/strong>Jesus is God and has authority over nature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise:\u00a0 <\/strong>\u201cHe Is Lord\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt:\u00a0 <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What miracles did Jesus perform in today\u2019s lesson?<\/li>\n<li>Why did the disciples worship Jesus?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice:\u00a0 <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By keeping his focus on Christ.<\/li>\n<li>By demonstrating his trust in Jesus by serving and obeying Him.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Matthew 14:22\u201334.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week:\u00a0 <\/strong>Matthew 16:13\u201317, 21\u201327<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:\u00a0 <\/strong>Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, <strong>\u201cTruly You are the Son of God.\u201d<\/strong><strong> \u00a0Matthew 14:33*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, July 10.
