We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>John Baptizes Jesus<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Matthew 3:13\u201317<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Jesus the Messiah was sent by the Father to provide salvation for those who would believe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cJesus, You Are Lord\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What happened after Jesus came up out of the water?<\/li>\n<li>What did God the Father say about His Son?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By trusting Jesus as his only hope for salvation.<\/li>\n<li>By learning what it means to please God the Father.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Matthew 3:13\u201317.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Matthew 4:1\u201311<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,<strong> \u201cBehold!
