God Chooses Jacob over Esau<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Passage:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Genesis 25:21\u201326; 27:1\u201329<\/span><\/p>\n

Principle:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>God sovereignly chooses whomever He wants to accomplish His purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praise:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>\u201cGod Will Take Care of You\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Prompt:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • What were the names of the twins born to Isaac and Rebekah?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Which brother did God choose to receive the birthright?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How did Jacob steal the inheritance?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • How was God gracious to Jacob?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Practice:\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • By patiently waiting for God\u2019s timing.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • By not committing one sin to make up for another sin.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
