We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Humbles Nebuchadnezzar<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Daniel 4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Believers humble themselves before God Most High.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cHumble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why was Nebuchadnezzar punished?<\/li>\n<li>How was Nebuchadnezzar different after the seven years?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By praising God for how He has made us and for what He has given to us.<\/li>\n<li>By trusting God\u2019s sovereignty as He rules over the kingdom of men.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Daniel 4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Daniel 5<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong><strong> \u201cGod resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.\u201d James 4:6b<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, January 10.
