We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God\u2019s Glory Fills the Temple<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>1 Kings 8:1\u20139:9<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Christians must learn to depend on God\u2019s faithfulness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cLord, I Lift Your Name on High\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How was God faithful in today\u2019s lesson?<\/li>\n<li>What did God require from Israel and the king?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By rejoicing that God is faithful.<\/li>\n<li>By being faithful to obey God\u2019s commands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of 1 Kings 8:1\u20139:9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Kings 11<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> \u201cLord, the God of Israel, <strong>there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below\u2026\u201d 1 Kings 8:23<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, October 4.
