We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Gives Solomon Wisdom<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>1 Kings 2:1\u20134; 3:1\u201315<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>We are unable to obey God without His help.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cCreate in Me a Clean Heart\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did David tell Solomon to live?<\/li>\n<li>What did Solomon ask for, and how did God give it to him?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By asking God for the wisdom to obey Him.<\/li>\n<li>By assessing whether his requests are motivated by God\u2019s glory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of I Kings 2:1\u20134; 3:1\u201315.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Kings 8:1\u20139:9<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> But <strong>if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God<\/strong>, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. <strong>James 1:5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, September 27.
