We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God Forgives David<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>2 Samuel 11\u201312<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>We should turn to God\u2019s grace after disobeying His Word.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cHumble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did David disobey God\u2019s Word?<\/li>\n<li>How did God extend grace to David?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By accepting the consequences of his sin.<\/li>\n<li>By repenting of his sin and receiving God\u2019s forgiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of 2 Samuel 11\u201312.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Kings 2:1\u20134; 3:1\u201315<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins<\/strong> and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. <strong>1 John 1:9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, September 20.
