We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>God\u2019s Sovereignty in the Book of Ruth<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage:<\/strong> Ruth 1\u20134<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle:<\/strong> Believers are to trust God\u2019s sovereignty and faithfully follow His commands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise:<\/strong> \u201cIt Is Well With My Soul\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt:<\/strong> Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How were Naomi and Ruth obedient even in hard times?<\/li>\n<li>How did God resolve their problems, and why is it important to us today?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice:<\/strong> Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By trusting that God is sovereign over both good and bad events.<\/li>\n<li>By responding rightly in the midst of trials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Ruth 1\u20134.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>1 Samuel 1\u20137<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> And we know that <strong>God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God<\/strong>, to those who are called according to His purpose. <strong>Romans 8:28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, July 12.
