We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Holy Living in the Promised Land<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Passage: <\/strong>Joshua 23\u201324<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle: <\/strong>Believers must obey God wholeheartedly while living in a sinful, idolatrous world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Praise: <\/strong>\u201cHoly Lord\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prompt: <\/strong>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why was living with the Canaanites dangerous for Israel?<\/li>\n<li>What was Joshua\u2019s charge to the Israelites?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Practice: <\/strong>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By doing what God\u2019s Word says, no matter what other people say.<\/li>\n<li>By trusting God and serving Him wholeheartedly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This Week: <\/strong>As a family, read selected portions of Joshua 23\u201324.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Week: <\/strong>Judges 1\u20133<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong> \u201cChoose for yourselves this day whom you will serve\u2026<strong>As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.\u201d Joshua 24:15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*Preschool verse in bold print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, June\u00a014.
