We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday\u2019s lesson with your family.<\/p>\n<h2><b>The King Is Born<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Passage: <\/b>Matthew 1:1\u201325<\/p>\n<p><b>Principle: <\/b>God\u2019s amazing grace is seen in His sending Christ to Earth.<\/p>\n<p><b>Praise: <\/b>\u201cHark! the Herald Angels Sing\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Prompt: <\/b>Ask your child these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What does Jesus\u2019 name mean, and why is it important?<\/li>\n<li>Why did God come to earth as a man?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Practice: <\/b>Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By believing what God\u2019s Word says, no matter what people say.<\/li>\n<li>By thanking God for sending His Son to live the perfect life and die for sinful men.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>This Week: <\/b>As a family, read Matthew 1:1\u201325.<\/p>\n<p><b>Next Week: <\/b>Matthew 2:1\u201312<\/p>\n<p><b>Memory Verses:<\/b> \u201c<b>And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus<\/b>, for He will save His people from their sins\u201d <b>Matthew 1:21*<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>* Preschool verse in bold print<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following lesson was taught in our children\u2019s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 7.
