We are covering these passages in particular: Rev. 21:1-8,22-27, 22:12-17. The topic at hand is the inauguration of the New Heavens and New Earth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a <a title=\"Michael Kruger\" href=\"http:\/\/michaeljkruger.com\/is-everything-sad-going-to-come-untrue-eschatology-in-the-lord-of-the-rings\/\" target=\"_blank\">recent blog<\/a> I read, Michael Kruger made a helpful observation after quoting Samwise Gamgee who says in <em>The Return of the King<\/em>, &#8220;Is everything sad going to come untrue?&#8221; His observation was, &#8220;Eschatology is about how one deals with the sad things in the world. In this sense, then, everyone has an eschatology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I think he&#8217;s right. This week we have a chance to demonstrate the importance of understanding the New Heavens and New Earth.<\/p>\n<p>See more in the video above!<\/p>\n<p>Here was the <em>one truth + one response<\/em> which I mentioned:<\/p>\n<p>Since Heaven will be ever-increasing joy (Matthew 25:21) as we behold the glory of the Lord(2 Corinthians 3:18); therefore, we should choose to look forward to the reward of Heaven rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of this world (Hebrews 11:23-26).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr align=\"center\">\n<th colspan=\"2\">\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Genesis &amp; Revelation Comparison Table<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"center\"><strong>Genesis 1-3<\/strong><\/td>\n<td align=\"center\"><strong>Revelation 20-22<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">God creates the first heaven and earth which becomes cursed by sin.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">God creates a new heavens and earth where sin is not to be found. \u2014 Revelation 21:1<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">Sin brings pain and tears.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">God comforts his people and removes crying and pain. \u2014 Revelation 21:4<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">People are banished from God&#8217;s presence.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">God lives among his people. \u2014 Revelation 21:3,7,22; 22:4.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">Creation grows old and decays.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">All things are made new. \u2014 Revelation 21:5.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">God creates light and separates it from darkness.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\">No more night or natural light; God himself is the source of light. \u2014 Revelation 21:23; 22:5.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\">Pate, C.
