However, it also came with pain and suffering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">We often struggle finding words that help children process the emotions they feel in life.\u00a0 The pain and suffering that Jesus endured on the cross is hard for even adults to hear, but we can help children by focusing on the truth of His resurrection. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Bible tells us that three days following His death, Mary came to the tomb and that the big stone was rolled away.\u00a0 Jesus was no longer there. \u00a0Jesus was ALIVE!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"> Here are a couple of ideas to help you in leading kids to rejoice in Christ&#8217;s resurrection:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000\">Resurrection Eggs<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">One popular idea for sharing the Easter story is Resurrection Eggs.\u00a0 These eggs give children a hands-on experience for understanding. \u00a0This is an excellent, developmentally appropriate way to share the Easter story with a child. \u00a0You can purchase these eggs online or make them yourself.\u00a0 Click\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativebiblestudy.com\/resurrection-eggs.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">here<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0for more ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000\">Resurrection Rolls<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #000000\">Ingredients<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> 8 large marshmallows<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> Melted butter<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> Cinnamon sugar<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Take one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. \u00a0This represents the tomb.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Take one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ, and dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow. Make sure all seams are pinched together well.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bake the crescent roll as indicated on the package. \u00a0Baking the crescent roll melts the marshmallow away.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Once the rolls have finished baking, break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Celebrate the miracle of Christ&#8217;s resurrection!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It can be overwhelming for younger children as they begin to process their lives related to the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.\u00a0 Easter is a natural time of reflection that occurs because of that sacrifice.
