The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, July 7. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.
Read: Acts 3:1-4:31
Ask your child:
- How was Jesus’ name exalted in this passage? Miracles were performed in Jesus’ name. Peter proclaimed that there is no other name under heaven by which people can be saved.
- How did God answer the believer’s prayer? The believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the Word with boldness.
Emphasize this principle: There is power in Jesus’ name. Therefore, we should believe in Him and represent Him to others.
Practice:
- Praise God for providing salvation through Jesus Christ.
- Proclaim salvation in Jesus’ name with boldness.
Praise: “Come, Let Us Worship and Bow Down”
Prepare for next week: Acts 9:1-31
Memorize for June 30-July 14: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
