The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 10. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.
God Restores Jerusalem’s Wall and People
Read: Nehemiah 1-10
Ask your child:
- How did God use Nehemiah? Nehemiah led the people to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls.
- How did the Israelites respond to the reading of God’s Word? They repented.
Emphasize this principle: God restores what is broken. Therefore, we should repent and seek His glory.
Practice:
- Praise God for being faithful to His people and promises.
- Repent from sin and live to honor God.
Praise: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”
Prepare for next week: Review 1 Samuel-Esther
Memorize for Mar 13-Apr 10: “…in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.” Ephesians 4:22-24*
