Review<\/h2>\n

In our Adult Bible Fellowships<\/a>\u00a0we have observed in\u00a0our Study of 1 Samuel that God often works in non-overt ways, yet His deliverance is often surprising, and His mercy is immense as He pursues us even and especially when we don\u2019t deserve it.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. God often works behind the scenes\u2026do we have eyes to see and reverence God at work, the God revealed in scripture?<\/li>\n
  2. God\u2019s ways are not our ways\u2026His deliverance will usually look different than ours\u2026His deliverance includes turning away from self-sufficiency and idolatry and His deliverance brings Him glory<\/li>\n
  3. God\u2019s mercy is vast and He lavishes it on us\u2026He pursues us in goodness and loving kindness\u2026we must respond in praise, seeking instruction from Him recognize He is seeking to show us mercy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Sunday<\/h2>\n

    1 Samuel 30<\/a> \u2013 God’s Strength and Sovereign Grace<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In preparation for our lesson on Sunday please read the section listed above and observe what stands out to you in the narrative. How do you see God\u2019s grace manifested in this chapter? Please also read these verses to cross reference:\u00a0Psalm 30:2,\u00a0John 16:33,\u00a0Nahum 1:7, Heb 4:14-16, John 1:16\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Also, please think about the following discussion questions:<\/p>\n

    1. What is the difference between weeping in your distress and strengthening yourself in the Lord?<\/li>\n
    2. What are practical ways you strengthen yourself in the Lord and remind yourself of His promises and His character?<\/li>\n
    3. How does seeing seemingly random or somewhat mundane acts as part of God\u2019s sovereign plan help you in your daily walk with the Lord?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
