Review<\/h2>\n

In our Adult Bible Fellowships<\/a>\u00a0we have observed in\u00a0our Study of 1 Samuel that God\u2019s favor and protection were on David, and David walked humbly in blessing and trials. We also see that:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. God exalts the humble and debases the prideful<\/li>\n
  2. God can protect his servants in a variety of ways (Psalm 2, 34:7<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  3. Thank God for all the ways he has protected you that you have no idea about<\/li>\n
  4. Remember it is more important to think about the God who is with you, than knowing exactly how he will protect you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Sunday<\/h2>\n

    1 Samuel 20<\/a>\u2013\u00a0God’s\u00a0Covenant<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

    In preparation for our lesson on Sunday please read the section listed above and observe what stands out to you in the narrative.\u00a0What do you learn about covenants, and how does the text help you think about God’s character, particularly his loving kindness that David highlights repeatedly in Psalm 59<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    \u201cBut as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness<\/strong> in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress. O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness<\/strong>.<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 59:16\u201317)<\/p>\n

    1. Where do we often find our security in life?<\/li>\n
    2. How do we model covenantal love in our relationships?<\/li>\n
    3. How can the peace we have with God because of his covenantal love impact how we live each day?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
