Growing up in Houston, I had very little appreciation for the seasons.\u00a0 That’s because the weather in that part of the country is the same every day for ten months of the year–highs in the 90’s with 100% humidity.<\/p>\n
However, after living in Indiana for over a decade, I’ve gained a healthy respect for the way seasons impact our lives.\u00a0 Each new season brings different conditions and requires different planning.<\/p>\n
There are certain things you have to do at the same time each year to prepare for the next season.\u00a0\u00a0And if you fail to do those things, you can be caught off guard easily.<\/p>\n
That’s certainly true of this season.\u00a0 Late summer is a time when our thoughts ought to turn to the start of the school year.\u00a0 In many ways, the launch of fall classes is like New Year’s in our country.<\/p>\n
It’s a time when personal priorities are set.\u00a0 It’s the time when family\u00a0schedules and routines are established.\u00a0 This is also a time when many families consider getting into church.<\/p>\n
