“How do I teach my kids to navigate the Bible?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s a question I get asked a lot.\u00a0 Parents want to help their kids learn Scripture, but in order to do that, they first have to teach their kids how to find<\/em> Scripture.<\/p>\n

If your child was asked to turn to Habakkuk, chapter 1, would they know where to go?\u00a0 Would you?\u00a0 Frankly, I would have a little trouble with it myself–but not as much as trouble as I used to have.<\/p>\n

In our Children’s Ministries, we use a device to help kids learn the order of the books of the Old and New Testaments.\u00a0 We sing!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We sing the titles of the books of the Old Testament to the tune of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”\u00a0 And we sing the New Testament book titles to the tune of an old hymn called “Bring Them In.”<\/p>\n

Admittedly, this is going to be a bit “different” for our blog, but in the videos below, I’m going to sing these songs for you.<\/p>\n

One word of caution:\u00a0 I’m a rather loud singer.\u00a0 I think volume is my spiritual gift.\u00a0 So, you may want to turn your speakers down.\u00a0 As painful to the ears as it might be, hopefully, this will help your child to navigate the Scriptures more efficiently.<\/p>\n

And as an added bonus–available only to our listeners–we’re including the names of the twelve disciples to the tune of another old hymn called “Bringing in the Sheaves.”<\/p>\n
