What is the Gospel?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Parents,<\/p>\n

Today we started our yearlong study on the Gospel and the importance of it in our lives.\u00a0 Here is the lesson that was taught today to introduce what the Gospel is.\u00a0 We will then divide into the specific parts of the Gospel and have lessons on the Holy God, Fallen Man, Promised Messiah, and the Way of Salvation.\u00a0 Our hope is that the lessons will provide encouragement and inspection on the part of all students.<\/p>\n

The Gospel = Great News<\/p>\n

The Gospel = Central Theme of the Entire Bible<\/p>\n

The Gospel = Only Way to be Right with God<\/p>\n

What is the Gospel?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Christ <\/span>died for our sins.\n
      \n
    1. All of us have sinned.<\/span>(Romans 3:23)<\/li>\n
    2. Our <\/span>sin separates us from God and requires our death. (Romans 6:23)<\/li>\n
    3. Someone must die<\/span> for our sin, but God loved us even in our sin<\/span> and died for us. (Romans 5:8)<\/li>\n
    4. Christ was buried<\/span>(Matthew 27: 57-66)\n
        \n
      1. Joseph of Arimathea took down Jesus\u2019s body and wrapped<\/span> it up and placed it in a tomb.<\/li>\n
      2. He rolled a stone<\/span> in front of the entrance.<\/li>\n
      3. The stone was sealed<\/span>.<\/li>\n
      4. There were guards<\/span> placed in front of the tomb.<\/li>\n
      5. Christ rose from the dead (Luke 24:1-10)\n

        1. The women who followed Jesus from Galilee went to bring spices and to visit the tomb.<\/li>\n
        2. When they arrived the stone<\/span> was rolled away.<\/li>\n
        3. Two angels appeared to them saying, He is not here, He is risen from the dead<\/span>.<\/li>\n
        4. Christ appeared to over 500<\/span> different people after His resurrection<\/span>.\n
