Quite frankly, this post is to the faithful follower of Christ.\u00a0 Here are a few reasons why you should invite someone to your local church:<\/p>\n

1. Jesus invited you<\/h2>\n

You were invited to follow Jesus. As a result of what God has done for you through Christ, you should naturally desire and long to share that message of God\u2019s crazy love and hope for mankind – The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Isaiah 53; Romans 5:8; Ephessians 1; Colossians 1:13-14).<\/p>\n

2. Jesus has done the hard work<\/h2>\n

We live in a free country where inviting people to hear the gospel has no cost to the one inviting. Yet, on the other hand, it may have a significant eternal cost to the one not invited.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>People invite people to programs, movies, games, barbecues, dinner, activities, whatever\u2026all the time.\u00a0 We invite people to what we believe in\u2026<\/strong>What we are passionate about\u2026What we care about\u2026What we enjoy\u2026\u00a0 What we want to share…And Jesus paid the ultimate price, being perfect, so we don’t have to. We live in a free country where inviting people to hear the gospel has no cost to the one inviting. Yet, on the other hand, it may have a significant eternal cost to the one not invited.<\/p>\n

3. Jesus gave us a mission<\/h2>\n

If you and I believe Matthew 28:19-20, that we are to make disciples<\/strong> (of Christ), then that\u2019s what we need to be about.<\/p>\n

If people will invite others to buy knives because those knives are the best, or a vacuum cleaner because it\u2019s best, or whatever\u2026I\u2019m here to tell you, we had better be inviting people to hear the greatest message<\/strong> (God sent His only Son Jesus, out of love, to pay the penalty for man\u2019s sin) to solve the biggest problem<\/strong> (we all have sinned), so that each person can experience the greatest solution<\/strong> (salvation by placing one\u2019s faith in Christ alone) in order to be a part of the greatest cause<\/strong> that focuses on the bringing glory to the\u00a0 greatest person<\/strong> – God.\u00a0 That is the greatest job<\/strong> ever (2 Corinthians 5).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s make a difference in the world by connecting people with that message.<\/p>\n

Quick note:\u00a0 Although I think it\u2019s important to invite people to church, this is not the end goal.\u00a0 More importantly, believers should be inviting people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
