We have been discussing different prayers from the book of Psalms. Part of the assignment was for each small group to write their own Psalm of Praise to God. It was encouraging to see the teens take part in this act of worship to God. I would like to share those with you over this week in a 5 day series.
Mr. Wiegand’s Small Group
Yahweh, we love to shout your name, O Lord.
You have created all things for your glory.
You have made even me.
You made me unique and in your image.
Give me strength to steward well the things
You have put under my control.
Yahweh, Yahweh, we love to shout your name, O Lord.
Mrs. Wiegand’s Small Group
Thank you for being a sovereign God.
You are always in control of our circumstances
And will never give us more than we can handle.
You are the author of our salvation.
You planned a way for man to be redeemed since the beginning.
You predestined us to adoptions as sons through Jesus Christ.
Before the beginning of time you chose us to be called your children.
Thank you for being awesome and in control of the nations.
You direct king’s hearts like streams of water and turn them however you wish.
God you are in complete control.
You never sleep or slumber.
Nothing comes as a surprise to you.
All things that happen in our life are for our good and your glory.
You are slow to anger and willing to forgive.
Thank you for being a sovereign God.
Mr. Powell’s Small Group
Praise God for His unending love towards us.
You have power over all things.
You have made us ambassadors of your Gospel and an extension of your good will.
We rule the earth as your vassals.
You are the Alpha and Omega.
Hallelujah! Thanks be to God for His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Schumm’s Small Group
The heavenly hosts sing Holy, Holy, Holy of you.
Your love for man has made a way for us to be righteous.
Man cannot compare to your glory.
Your sacrifice has made a way for man to reflect your glory.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.
