Working Together

“but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” – Ephesians 4:15-16

Aren’t these verses encouraging, yet challenging? It can be so easy to become caught up in foolish and petty disputes, even with fellow believers, that cause division and bitterness. However, God calls us to be working together toward the same goal: to help each other grow in glorifying Him.

God gives us many opportunities to come together with other believers in order to further His Kingdom. One of these opportunities for us is our upcoming Race for Hope. As we plan this Race, we are all seeking to encourage each other and work together to make this event a success for the glory of God. This is a great time for our residents to work together as well, as they are seeking to make cards and craft emails to share about this upcoming event. This event provides opportunities to be able to encourage and help each other, and with all of their creative minds working together, they are diligently making known the great message of the gospel!

We hope you will plan to join us for this exciting event as well. There are many ways you can be involved, whether you are participating as a walker, runner, virtual runner, or contributing financially or through prayer. We truly appreciate all of the people involved in this Race this year, and we look forward to seeing how God will use this event for His glory!

The Race for Hope is happening June 10th. To find out more about the Race for Hope and how YOU can be involved, click here.

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
