VOH Fun Facts – Adoption!

Many people do not realize that there is another part of Vision of Hope: an adoption ministry! Women sometimes find themselves in a very difficult situation when they become pregnant – whether for financial or other reasons, a woman may feel she is not able to be a mother to her baby. Our adoption ministry provides pregnant women with options for their babies.

It is always an option for a pregnant young woman to apply to come to our residential program from more intensive help, but this is not a requirement for our adoption ministry. Any pregnant woman who does not believe she is ready or able to care for a child can contact us and be connected with excellent couples who are desiring to adopt their baby. We work with the birth mother to help her to choose a family for her baby, and can connect her to biblical counseling services with Faith Church even if she does not want to go through our entire Vision of Hope program.

We have had the privilege of seeing 7 wonderful adoptions occur as a result of our adoption ministry, and we look forward to the next woman we will be able to work with in this way.

Bethany Dunn
Bethany heard about Vision of Hope while attending Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. When she began praying about what God wanted her to do after graduating, He kept bringing Vision of Hope to her mind. Knowing that there was an internship available, Bethany applied, was accepted, and began her internship with VOH in July, 2012. Since then she has been amazed at the opportunities God has given her to learn more about His Word and how it applies to everyday life. Bethany now serves on staff at Vision of Hope.
