Rehab Fraud and Rehab Truth

Sadly, fraud in the Addiction Rehab arena is not a new problem to me. I’ve been aware of such fraud since I started in the addiction field over 20 years ago.

Watch this CNN video about this problem in California:

CNN Rehab Fraud

While the world is outraged and should be, Christians know that the only true rehab is offered by Jesus Christ and His local body of believers called the local church. Apart from Christ, no rehab in the heart of mankind will ever occur. The real fraud is that the world tries to offer hope but cannot do so without the transformational power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The GOSPEL is the only hope which is offered to sinners who repent and place their faith and trust in Christ alone as Mark 1:14-15 reminds us:

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

Jesus  proclaimed the Gospel and we must, also.

If you need help today, contact us at Vision of Hope at (765) 447-5900. We are a faith-based program for young women ages 14-28 and we are connected to the local church.

If you are looking for a counselor, program, or church that offers a genuinely biblical approach to addiction, go to www.theaddictionconnection.org and click on the “Resources” button to find a list of places to call for real hope and real help from the sufficient Scriptures and sufficient Savior.

If you are looking for a book to read on the subject of addiction and real heart change, go to www.focuspublishing.com where you will find The Heart of Addiction and other resources that point you to Christ and His Word for real solutions to the heart problem called idolatry in the Bible and “addiction” in the world.

And know this: there is no fraud in Jesus as He is the real deal according to John 8:31-32:

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

His truth applies to all types of “addictions” since that is a problem that will not escape His mighty power. Pray to Him today and read His Word to find a hopeful relationship with the One True God!
