Stories, Songs and… Cross-Curricular Learning?

One of the highlights of the year for me is our Elementary Spring Concerts. It’s such a spectacular chance for our students to showcase all that they’ve learned throughout the year. Last year, our students had the opportunity to sing about God’s creation and praise him for everything He made—from dinosaurs to lobsters, to the moon!

This year, our students have been working just as diligently on songs that tell great classic stories. Our younger elementary students have been working on songs from Aesop’s fables, mother goose, and other classics from literature. Our older students have learned songs that go with classic poems. Our spring concerts especially give our students a great cross-curricular learning experience! Literature and music are such a natural fit!

Come out to our spring concert and check out the great stories and songs that our students have learned. You’ll have a great time, and may even hear a surprise or two! Both concerts are in the Faith Church auditorium.

K5-3rd: 6:30 PM

4th-6th: 7:40 PM

If you can’t see either of our concerts in person, be sure to check faithlafayette.org/fcslive the evening of the event to watch it live or any time after!
