Memories that will last a lifetime.

Several students had an opportunity to travel to Mexico City this year for J Term.  We asked each of them to highlight their trip from their perspective and share some things that the Lord allowed them to learn and experience.  Braxton Prather is a senior at FCS.  Please read Braxton’s blog and continue to pray for him and other team members throughout the year.

The Mexico City J-Term trip was one of the best experiences of my life thus far. I am beyond grateful that I was able to go on this trip and experience the culture 209as well as grow as an individual. Although I loved everything about this adventure, I decided to narrow it down to two key events. First, the pyramids were an incredible sight to behold. Our team visited the sun and moon pyramids of the Aztecs.  It was truly moving to see these structures that man was able to create with their God given abilities. In the same way, I believe these pyramids cannot be given enough justice by mere photography, but rather they are something that one should see in person. Second, I had the opportunity to speak in two churches during the trip. Like the trip overall, these two times I had to speak were very humbling. One reason why that is, is because I had to present my message in Spanish, which was also an excellent way for me to strengthen my public speaking and Spanish speaking abilities. I also found it amazing that regardless of the language barrier everyone was there worshiping the same God as a church family. In the end, this trip was very impactful and life changing, and I will never forget this experience.
