An International Student’s Story

At Faith Christian School, we have students from every walk of life and from many parts of the globe. Every student has a story and part of their story is the life-long impact of being a student at FCS. To Lucy, all our current graduates, our future graduates, and all our alumni – go live effectively in God’s world!

Below is part of the story of an international student affected by FCS.

Dear Mr. Grass,

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did to help Lucy. In the days before she left and on the way to the airport, she spoke of how she has been changed as a result of coming to FCS. She specifically mentioned the ways in which she was challenged to think more deeply about her relationship with Christ because of Bible class. We had many discussions about spiritual issues with Lucy because of things that had been brought up in your class. As we drove her away from school last Friday after Eagle Fair, she looked back at the school for as long as it was in view with tears in her eyes.

It was so hard to say goodbye to her after living with her for 2 years and knowing we will probably never see her again. We sent her off with a spiral of note cards with selected Bible verses to live by and the message that she will always be in our prayers and in our hearts.
