While we were in Brazil, I attempted to lead Pastor Dustin Folden to Jesus. However, as we neared Christ’s image, Pastor Folden was motivated to run to His feet! Don’t worry, there was no need of repentance. It was only a statue of Christ. The statue, shown above was on top of a mountain across from our hotel. The three-kilometer walk was quite steep and strenuous, so the old guys, Dan and I, met Dustin there a few minutes later.
Pastor Dustin Folden, Dr. Dan Wickert and I (David Selvey) have just returned from Sao Paulo, Brazil where we participated in training over 500 pastors and lay people in biblical counseling. This is the fifth year we have participated in this wonderful ministry of the Association of Biblical Counselors of Brazil. We are privileged to partner with these wonderful folks who are a driving force behind the biblical counseling movement in Brazil.
The comments about out great and awesome God were sometimes overwhelming as student after student told us how they were convicted by the Word of God to change and grow. Then they would tell us how the principles we shared from God’s word would be helpful in so many specific counseling cases. 
Pray for a fruitful ministry in the biblical counseling movement in Brazil. The finanical support needed to cover this ministry trip is just over $6,000 per year.
