Faith Kids @ Home: December 25, 2016

The following lesson was taught in our children’s Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 25. We would encourage you to use the ideas below to review Sunday’s lesson with your family.

Movie: Why Do We Call It Christmas?

Principle:  God provided salvation through the gift of His Son.

Praise:  “O Little Town of Bethlehem”

Prompt:  Ask your child these questions:

  • Where do we get the word Christmas?
  • When was Jesus born?
  • What do Christmas trees have to do with Jesus?
  • Who is St. Nicholas?
  • What is Hanukkah?
  • Who is Emmanuel?

Practice:  Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:

  • By thanking God for the gift of His Son.
  • By embracing Christ as Savior and Lord.

This Week:  As a family, read Luke 2:1-20.

Next Week:  Acts 10:1–11:18
