The Gospel Coalition published a great article today by a good friend and colleague Bob Kellemen. Bob describes 10 current trends in biblical counseling. We’ve seen these trends ourselves, and we’re excited about the direction of the movement. God is already doing great things in peoples’ lives through biblical counseling, and we believe that the movement is poised to impact many more people this decade and beyond.
By the way, many of these trends are just good things for churches to consider, even if they don’t yet have a biblical counseling ministry. Being compassionate, culturally informed, committed to progressive sanctification, cooperative–these are concepts every church leader and member should view as foundational to their ministry.
I’d encourage you to read Bob’s article and be encouraged by what God’s doing in His church.
