Psalms of Praise! -Part 2

We have been discussing different prayers from the book of Psalms.  Part of the assignment was for each small group to write their own Psalm of Praise to God.  It was encouraging to see the teens take part in this act of worship to God.  I would like to share those with you over this week in a 5 day series.

Nate and Natalie Hornbrook’s Small Group

Oh Lord of the universe you are awesome in power.

For you formed the mountains and can topple them over.

You named the stars and know the hairs on our heads.

You provide the rain upon the earth so we may have turkey and stuffing.

Why trouble yourself with our redemption

when our act of thanks is to consume our turkey and Black Friday deals?

You have made us your ambassadors.

We spread throughout the earth to represent you.

Oh Lord of the universe you are awesome in power.

Mr. Merkel’s Small Group

 How awesome are you.

The glory of your robe fills the entire universe.

We’re idiots and you still love us.

You have made us in your image.

You made us rulers over the beasts of the field,

the birds of the air,

and the creatures of the sea.

How great is our God.

Miss McNamara’s Small Group

God, you are awesome.

You are glory and we are not.

Even when we stumble, you still love us.

You lead us with humility.

How do you love us even in our disobedience?

God, you are awesome.

Kiersten Boyer’s & Hannah Streitmatter’s Small Group

Praise God, the creator of the earth

for His graciousness shines through the universe.

The Father to many

-to those who have none,

or those who do have.

His gifts of our abilities He gives to us freely

for He is always with us always.

Praise God, the Creator of the earth.

The Dailey’s Small Group

There’s power in the name of the Lord Most High!

At your name all will bow;

The name of God gives us hope,

Peace, comfort, and relief.

We can draw power from the name of Christ.

Through faith in your name we can live in the Word,

and declare your salvation to all the nations.

There’s power in the name of the Lord Most High
